It's that eye on the future of rural South Dakota that led to the company's creation of the Golden West Scholarship Program that has since helped local students pursue degrees at vocational schools, military academies, and colleges throughout the nation.

The Golden West Scholarship Program now awards $1,000 scholarships to graduating seniors at 44 area high schools, recognizing that the graduating senior of today may be the CEO of tomorrow who will help create greater opportunity for everyone. The company also makes one at-large scholarship available to home-schooled students or those students from a Golden West service area not attending one of the high schools covered by the scholarship program.

If your son or daughter will be graduating in the spring or if you know of someone else who will, please have them visit with their school's guidance counselor or check out the above links to Scholarship Guidelines, Eligible Schools, Application Forms, and Residency Requirements.

Completed applications for 2010 are due back at the participating schools by March 15^th, 2010.
