The Federal Communications Commission has announced the end of funding for its Affordable Connectivity Program (ACP) for which members have been receiving benefits. The last discount toward internet service will apply for the month of April.
After ACP ends, households will be subject to Golden West’s undiscounted rates and general terms and conditions. Starting on May 1, 2024, monthly billing charges will be adjusted accordingly.
Golden West participates in the federal Lifeline support program which will continue to offer a discount on internet service to those who qualify. Current members that have the ACP discount should consider applying for the Lifeline benefit if they have not already done so at lifelinesupport.org.
