Hartford Equipment Upgrades

To offer you the best service possible, Golden West needs to replace the equipment that operates your telecommunication services, which includes internet, cable TV, and/or phone. An adult must be present for the appointment which will take from 1 to 3 hours depending on how many services and how much equipment is involved.
To schedule your free upgrade appointment, please call us at 605-528-0777 during normal business hours. After hours you can fill out the form below to share times and dates that would work best for you along with your preferred contact phone number. Note that upgrade appointment times are available in the evenings and during regular business hours.

Replacing the equipment will ensure your connection is secure and as reliable as possible. Specifically, you will have access to the latest features such as:
Internet Upgrade Benefits
- Golden West’s fastest internet speeds, including 1 Gig, 2.5 Gig and 5 Gig. (Some multi-unit dwellings or apartment buildings may still have speed limitations.)
- Wi-Fi 6 wireless technology, which offers better coverage and faster Wi-Fi speeds for compatible devices.
- Golden West’s FREE mobile app, My Golden West Wi-Fi. The app allows you to change your Wi-Fi password, see all devices on your network, set basic parental controls, and more.
Internet Pricing Note
- The equipment upgrade will be done at no cost to you, and internet rates will remain unchanged.
- The router lease fee will remain the same at $6.00/month.
Cable TV Upgrade Benefits
- The ability to pause live tv.
- Video on Demand capability – free and paid.
- Whole-home DVR service with 72-hour catch up and restart available on most channels (for an additional monthly fee).
Cable TV Pricing Note
- If you require new cable TV equipment, the upgrade will be done at no cost to you. Cable TV rates will remain unchanged.
- If you are upgraded, Golden West will continue to include the first two cable TV receivers (set-top boxes) in the cost of service. Because the new receivers are more advanced, each additional receiver will be $5.00/month instead of the $2.00/month charged for any old receivers beyond two.
